Monmouth Festival is a volunteer-run festival which simply wouldn’t happen without the support and hard work of our team of volunteers. Help the committee members make this fantastic community event even better by getting involved.
There are plenty of ways you can volunteer for the Festival and we appreciate every moment of the time that you feel able to give – whether it’s a couple of days or a couple of hours:
Throughout the year
1. If you want to play an active part in planning and organising the Festival you could become a committee member and attend the monthly meetings.
2. Provide consultancy advice in areas requiring expertise and experience – Social Media, Advertising, Marketing, PR, Fundraising etc
During the Festival
Bucketeer/Bucket Babes are the backbone of our fundraising efforts collecting donations from our generous festival attendees. We rely on our Bucketeer/Bucket Babe collections to keep the Festival free! Volunteers must be aged 16 or over.
Stewards are the eyes and ears of the Festival. The primary purpose of stewarding is to keep people safe and provide information and advice to festival attendees. Stewards work alongside a dedicated security firm and do not get involved in any security duties. Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.
No special expertise is required; you just need to be enthusiastic, reliable and friendly.
There is a whole list of other jobs that need doing during the Festival and if you would like to find out more or sign up as a volunteer please go to firstname.lastname@example.org.
