From the launch of the festival on Friday 24th July until its close on Saturday 1st August, the Festival site will be designated a glass free zone. Any food or drink brought into the Blestium Car Park site must be in plastic containers or cans as no form of glassware from bottles to drinking vessels will be allowed on site. There will, as always, be plenty of outlets on site selling food and drink.

Mel Ralph, festival co-chairman for 2015 said: “In line with nationwide festival best practice and in keeping with our licence requirements we’ll be glass free from this year. We hope everyone understands the reasons and works with us to maintain our aim to keep the festival glass free. This change will help to provide a safe environment for all attendees, especially all our younger music lovers who come along to the many family friendly nights we have throughout the event.”

Organisers of the Festival will seek local retailers support and cooperation in ensuring that customers are aware of the glass free policy.

Monmouth Music Festival, now in its 33rd year, is one of the largest free festivals organised solely by volunteers and is run as a not-for-profit concern. Our intention is to make this year's festival bigger and safer than ever.
