The Line-Up for Monmouth Music Festival 2010 is Now Complete!

Including: The Commitments - The Rollin Stoned - Chris Jagger - The Automatic - Uncle Funk... and much more!

Welcome to the 28th annual Monmouth Festival. Our tireless team of volunteers have been hard at work to bring you another exciting and varied programme of music and entertainment.

 

Rolls Royce European Rally & Hot Air Balloon Glow

This year, we are proud to present two prestigious events to commemorate the life and work of one of Monmouth’s most famous sons, Charles Rolls. Along with Monmouthshire Show, we are bringing The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts’ Club’s European Rally to Monmouth on Carnival Sunday and a Hot Air Balloon Glow to the Showground on Sunday 1st August. Monmouth Rotary Club have also kindly organised a kite festival, which will take place in the afternoon before the balloon glow. As is tradition, all these events are completely free of charge.

 

(There is a misprint in part of the brochure and we confirm that the balloon glow is taking place on Sunday 1st August. )

 

Music for All Tastes

We have some amazing bands playing at the Festival in 2010 including: Music from the blockbuster film of the same name from The Commitments; in keeping with the 'Rolls' theme, we have top tribute band, The Rollin Stoned; and also Mick Jagger's brother, Chris Jagger; Britpop from Town; ska and ragga from The Guns Of Navarone and Magnet Man; pop and funk from Crash & Berney, Zang Tang and a return from 2009's sensational Uncle Funk; rock from O'Casan and Heaven's Basement; soul from The Soulvents and The Mighty Pledge; country from Kentucky Fryd; and contemporary from V Festival winners and recent Bon Jovi support band, The Last Republic and 'monster' act The Automatic... as well as folk, woodwind, salsa, choir, string quartet, jazz, classical, brass band, and Christian rock, at our fringe venues.
