The historic town of Monmouth, with its Roman and medieval buildings, Georgian mansions and Victorian courtyards is set in the heart of the picturesque Wye Valley. The rivers Wye and Monnow offer the chance to fish and paddle, and the valleys give fantastic walks and cycle routes through breathtaking scenery.
For nine days and nights during the summer, the town comes alive with the Monmouth Festival - one of the largest free music festivals in the UK that attracts up to 50,000 people to Monmouth.
There is entertainment for all the family. As well as the huge variety of music including rockabilly, jive, rock, blues, classical, jazz, country, disco, big band... There is also the Town Carnival and the Kymin Dash running race on Sunday 26th July.
We hope you will come and stay in Monmouth for this fabulous event now in its 28th year!
